(East End, Arkansas) “Fast” Eddie Provence raced his Red, Black, and White GRT Super Late Model in this past weekend’s Comp Cams MSRA Late Model Series events at Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri, and North East Arkansas Speedway in Harrisburg, Arkansas.
Friday nights event was cut short due to a tragedy on the track, as worker Earl Grubbs lost his life after a freak accident before the nights B-Main event. Provence would not have been able to race in the nights remaining events due to a blown motor, had the tragedy not taken place.
As Eddie was notifying MSRA Series Director Chris Ellis of his intentions to head home due to the blown motor, Keith Lawson of Lawson Sod Farms stepped to the plate, and provided Eddie with a new motor.
What is happening to the Sport we love?

What the hell is happening to the sport we love? Every day for the past few weeks, I have logged onto Midsouth Racing, only to see posts full of people complaining about cheaters, folks threatening to intentionally take people out, and people fighting, using their cars as a weapon, people being jumped from behind, etc.
Really?

This is the short version of this story. I will have more later in the day when I get the official results from the track.

Really good show. I enjoyed it, and was glad I made the trip. Keith had some back luck, spitting out his drive shaft in hot laps, but he got is squared away before the heat race.
After starting third row outside in his heat, he shot to the front and took the lead on lap two and never looked back.
