Billy Moyer Jr. Wins Third COMP Cams MSRA Event of 2010 at NEA Speedway

Beebe, AR (07/31/10) – Round #2 of the RiceTec Summer Showdown for the COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Models was held on Saturday night at Northeast Arkansas Speedway in Harrisburg, Arkansas, and it was defending series’ champion, Billy Moyer Jr., who claimed the win.

Twenty-nine Super Late Models entered the $2,000 to win event on the ¼ mile oval, which for the second time in 2010 would produce a phenomenal forty lap feature. Jon Kirby was the JFR Graphics Pole Qualifier, and he was joined on the front row by Bill Frye, who would use the cushion to take the lead at the drop of the green flag. Frye would lead the first two circuits before third starting, Billy Moyer Jr., pulled even with him on the third circuit. The duo would battle side-by-side for the lead for two laps before Moyer Jr. assumed the lead for good on the fifth lap.

Eddie Provence Sends Out Thanks and Condolences

(East End, Arkansas) “Fast” Eddie Provence raced his Red, Black, and White GRT Super Late Model in this past weekend’s Comp Cams MSRA Late Model Series events at Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri, and North East Arkansas Speedway in Harrisburg, Arkansas.

Friday nights event was cut short due to a tragedy on the track, as worker Earl Grubbs lost his life after a freak accident before the nights B-Main event. Provence would not have been able to race in the nights remaining events due to a blown motor, had the tragedy not taken place.

As Eddie was notifying MSRA Series Director Chris Ellis of his intentions to head home due to the blown motor, Keith Lawson of Lawson Sod Farms stepped to the plate, and provided Eddie with a new motor.

COMP Cams MSRA At Malden Postponed

Beebe, Arkansas (04/22/10) – The COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model event scheduled for Friday, April 23rd at Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri has been postponed due to a less than favorable forecast. Latest models indicate heavy rain moving into the area by Friday evening, and in an effort to save time and money for competitors and fans the tour made the decision to postpone the event. A suitable reschedule date is currently being evaluated.

Allen Tippen Locked and Loaded for MSRA at I-30 Speedway

(Minden, Louisiana) Minden, Louisiana native Allen Tippen had originally planned to race with the SUPR Late Model Series this weekend, but due to the cancellation of the event, will race with the Comp Cams MSRA Super Late Model Series at the famed I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday April 24, 2010.

“We had planned on racing with SUPR this weekend, but the canceled their show.” said Tippen. “As long as the weather holds up this weekend, we plan on heading up to I-30 Speedway to race with the MSRA Late Model Series.”

Todd Hall Sets Sights On MSRA At Malden

Charleston, MO (4/20/10) – Todd Hall from Charleston, Missouri is eagerly anticipating the COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model event at Malden Speedway, which is set for this Friday, April 23rd .

Todd was last in action two weeks ago in his #99 FTS Logistics/Mastersbilt/Russell Baker Racing Engine Super Late Model as he entered his second event of the year on Saturday night, April 10th at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas in a $2,000 to win, COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model event. Hall struggled early in the evening and was forced to run a b-main, where he finished in the second spot to earn the 17th starting spot for the 40 lap feature. Todd would battle the handling on his entry throughout the course of the event before retiring to a 16th place finish.

Batesville, Arkansas (04/20/10) – For the second week in a row Billy Moyer Jr. made a clean sweep of the competition behind the wheel of his #21jr Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer Chassis.

Billy continued his hot streak on Friday night at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas by picking up the $1,500 win in the opening round of the Isle of Capri Crate Challenge presented by Bad Boy Mowers. After accumulating the second most passing points in heat race action, he started on the front row alongside Bill Frye for the feature. Wendell Wallace Charges to Third in Frostbite 50; Clarksville Up Next!

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS)  The Wendell Wallace Autosports team continued their version of the 2010 racing season last Saturday night, March 6 at the South Mississippi Speedway in Long Beach, Mississippi.  The Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) sanctioned the annual running of the ‘Frostbite 50′ and a $5,000 top prize was up for grabs.  Wendell Wallace did not time in fast enough to qualify for the dash, but did transfer into the 50-lap feature event by virtue of his second place run in his B-Main.  After starting eleventh on the grid in the ‘Frostbite 50,’ Wendell picked off eight cars on his way to a stellar third place performance behind winner Shep Lucas and runner-up David Ashley.  You can view complete results online at www.stateseries.com.

Billy Moyer Racing Releases Plans for Next Couple of Weekends
